The Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) Regional Center for Food and Nutrition (RECFON) was established in 2011 with its vision “A Centre of Excellence for building capabilities in food and nutrition for all in Southeast Asia” and mission “To provide food and nutrition development options for better quality of life for all peoples of Southeast Asia”.

SEAMEO RECFON conducts training, research, advocacy and community development activities for professionals in various sectors engaged in food and nutrition. SEAMEO RECFON collaborates with national, regional and international institutions to conduct other learning events like seminars, workshops, conferences on nutrition and health. 

To achieve its mission, SEAMEO RECFON is looking for a qualified candidate to fill the following position:

 

DEPUTY DIRECTOR FOR PROGRAM

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the Centre Director in the performance of his/her duties related to program and management in accordance with the vision, mission and objectives of the Center in the framework as set up by the Center Director and assist the Director in the development of policy formulation and the 5 year strategic plan.
  2. Ensuring management tasks within program division are functioning well.
  3. Developing management system within program division.
  4. Supervise management aspects of all units under the program division.
  5. Oversee the implementation of the system and rules and regulation within program division.
  6. Review and evaluate the achievement of quarterly and yearly performance indicators of the program division.
  7. Plan and design programs and activities including its budget proposal for the program division to be submitted to the Director.
  8. Coordinate with the deputy director for administration with respect to human resource, administrative, and financial aspects of programmatic matters.
  9. Supervise and coordinate the implementation of programs and activities in the units under program division.
  10. Actively engaged in strengthening and building networking with national, regional and international parties for partnerships, collaboration and/or cooperations.
  11. Prepare and review agreements concerning the Centre for review and signing by the Director.
  12. Identify trends and interest/concerns of the stakeholders in relation to organizational and programmatic aspects.
  13. Plan, Execute, supervise and coordinate the implementation of programs and activities in the units under Program Division.

 

Job Requirements:

  1. The Deputy Director program comes from SEAMEO Member Countries, Preferably non Indonesian.
  2. Holds Post Graduate Degree Preferably Doctorate degree
  3. Has strong leadership and management skills
  4. Has sound international exposure on managerial aspect of educational/ research institution
  5. Has proven ability in procurement
  6. Has sound scientific and managerial track record
  7. Has a visionary outlook on future institutional development
