SUMMARY:The 2021 SEAMEO-Japan ESD Award\, Theme: Securing Educational Opportunities in COVID-19 Crisis
DESCRIPTION:The Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) and the Ministry of Education\, Culture\, Sports\, Science and Technology\, Japan (MEXT) in cooperation with UNESCO Asia and Pacific Regional Bureau for Education are pleased to announce the 2021 SEAMEO-Japan Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) Award\, with the theme “Securing Educational Opportunities in COVID-19 Crisis.” \nThe objectives of the 2021 SEAMEO-Japan ESD Award are: \n1) to foster initiatives on creating educational opportunities in schools in Southeast Asia in cooperation with Japan;\n2) to encourage schools to maintain safe and accessible educational platforms in use of innovation;\n3) to build resilience into educational system with practical learning alternatives. \nWe would like to invite all public and private kindergarten / elementary / secondary / vocational and technical (equivalent to Grade 12) schools in 11 SEAMEO Member Countries to participate by submitting a completed submission form and a short video clip of 3-5 minutes presenting the school initiative/programme in MP 4 format relating to the theme. Details of the award and guidelines for submission of entries are available at the SEAMEO website link.seameo.org/2021SEAMEOJapanESDAward. The last day for submission of entries is on 15 August 2021.

SUMMARY:2nd ASEAN Energy Youth Awards
DESCRIPTION:The SEAMEO Secretariat and the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) are pleased to announce the 2nd ASEAN Energy Youth Awards (AEYA) with the support of the Korean Ministry of Trade\, Industry\, and Energy (MOTIE) and Korea Energy Agency (KEA). \nThe objective of AEYA is to recognise the students’ valuable contribution to nation-building\, sustainable development\, and energy transition in the ASEAN region. The Award consists of three (3) categories\, namely\, (i) Essay\, (ii) Infographic Poster\, and (iii) Video. The theme of this year’s awards is “Innovation and Creativity Towards Sustainable and Resilient Energy System in ASEAN”.  The awards are open for high school\, college and university students to join. The deadline of submission is 31 July 2021. \nThe selected winners and runners-up will receive the awards during the awarding ceremony of ASEAN Energy Awards which will be held in conjunction with the 39th ASEAN Ministers on Energy Meeting (AMEM) in September 2021.
