On December 14, 2023, SEAMEO RECFON held the last session of Online Training Nutrition Goes to School (NGTS) in Malaysia. This session consisted of the presentation of the microteaching and plan for follow-up actions. At the end of the session, Dr. Jesus C. Fernandez (Deputy Director for Program SEAMEO RECFON) and Dr. Yang Wai Yew (Head of Nutrition and Dietetics Division, IMU) delivered their closing remarks with the hope that the gained knowledge and skills from the training, as well as the formulated action plan can be implemented in the REAL Schools for the piloting of the NGTS Program in Malaysia.
This training was held in collaboration with the International Medical University (IMU) Centre for Transformative Nutrition and Health, started on November 17th 2023, consisting of seven sessions. There are 10 participants from the school including teachers, operation manager, and canteen operator. All of the participants have successfully completed their assignments and attended all sessions with a total 30 training hours.
