SEAMEO RECFON organized an online onboarding session for participants of the 14th Southeast Asian Nutrition Leadership Program (SEANLP) on Thursday, 17 July 2025. This session marked an important starting point for the SEANLP, which will take place throughout August 2025. A total of 28 participants from eight Southeast Asian countries are taking part in this year’s programme, including Indonesia (11), Malaysia (6), the Philippines (4), Vietnam (2), Myanmar (2), and one participant each from Singapore, Cambodia, and Lao PDR.
The session began with opening remarks from the Course Coordinator, Dr. Judhiastuty Februhartanty. In her address, Dr Judhiastuty highlighted the importance of collaborative leadership in addressing nutrition challenges across the Southeast Asian region. This was followed by Indriya Laras Pramesthi, M.Gizi (SEAMEO RECFON), who delivered key technical information to the participants.
The in-person training is scheduled to take place on 12–15 August 2025 in Jakarta, Indonesia. As part of the onboarding session, Aziz Jati Nur Ananda, M.Gizi presented the pre-training assignment, which participants are required to complete in the form of an e-poster outlining their personal action plan. The session concluded with an interactive discussion, allowing participants to share insights and clarify expectations.
The implementation of this onboarding session aims to ensure participants are well-prepared to actively engage in the 14th SEANLP Training, while also fostering stronger cross-country nutrition leadership networks across the region.
