Where do I find the information on accepted abstracts?
The notification of accepted and declined abstracts has been placed in the registered OCS UI account, and an email also has been sent to the registered email address. Only presenters with accepted abstracts will receive Letter of Acceptance (LOA) addressed to all listed authors
VENUE
How to reach ICFN venue?
Redtop Hotel & Convention Center is located in Pecenongan district on the edge of Central Jakarta, close to the main commercial and business district of the Indonesia capital city. It is conveniently located adjacent to the local KAI Commuter Bogor Line.
The Redtop Hotel & Convention Center can be reached in a short 8-minute walk from Sawah Besar Station or 10-minute walk from Juanda Station. If using Transjakarta, use Line bus 2 to Pulo Gadung or line bus 5C to Cililitan or line bus 7F to Kampung Rambutan or line bus 8 to Pasar Baru or line bus 10H to Tanjung Priok, Stop at Juanda Station +12 min walk.
The Redtop Hotel & Convention Center is also well connected with Gambir Train Station, the main railway station in Jakarta, having connections with the major cities in Java Island. The Soekarno – Hatta International Airport is also 30 minutes away from the REDTOP Hotel & Convention Center.
Some of the main points of interest we would like to recommend to our guests are:
- State Palace (Istana Negara)
- National Monument (MONAS), a tower in the central Merdeka Square of Jakarta.
- Jakarta’s Museums such as the Jakarta History Museum
- Pasar Baru Shopping Center
- Glodok Elektronik Center
- ITC/WTC Mangga Dua
The central location of the REDTOP Hotel & Convention Center has also easy access to the “Golden Triangle”, (Sudirman – Gatot Subroto – Kuningan) the central business district
There are several ways to get from Soekarno–Hatta Airport (CGK) to Redtop Hotel & Convention Center, Jakarta:
- by online taxi: Grab Car or GoCar (you need to download applicaton Grab or Gojek)
- by airport taxi: BlueBird
- by airport bus: Damri to Stasiun Gambir

- TIME ZONE
Jakarta is seven hours ahead of UTC. - CURRENCY/ATMS
The official currency of Indonesia is RUPIAH (IDR) and only the RUPIAH is accepted when paying cash. ATMs can accept credit, debit and ATM cards that are issued outside of Indonesia. - PERSONAL MEDICINES
We recommend that you bring sufficient quantities of any medicines you take, even those you use less frequently, as foreign medicines and over-the-counter remedies are not sold in Indonesia. - ELECTRICITY
Most power plugs and sockets in Indonesia are type C and F. This plug is the 2-pin socket and plug design which is the standard European plug. If you are coming from a country that does not use this type of sockets, you should buy an adapter. The standard voltage throughout Indonesia is normally 230 V and with a standard frequency of 50 Hz.
PARTICIPANTS & REGISTRATION
Registration Fee
This conference is supported by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia to enhance food and nutrition research in Indonesia, Southeast Asia, and beyond. Thus, the conference is FREE but has a LIMITED number of participants. Please note that transportation and accommodation costs are the responsibility of each participant.
Eligible participants
Due to the limited number of participants, only selected participants whose abstracts have been accepted for oral or poster presentations may attend the conference. Letters of Acceptance have been sent to these selected participants.
Who and how many selected participants are allowed to attend the conference?
We can accommodate only 1 (one) presenter per accepted abstract at the conference. If there are multiple authors, the team may choose a representative to present, provided that the chosen individual is one of the listed authors.
Can I invite my colleague to attend the conference?

Financial assistance for attending the conference
Travel grants are not available as there is no registration fee for the conference
The necessary documents for travel and attend the conference
Passport with at least 6-month validity beyond arrival is required. Participants with ASEAN countries nationality do not require visa to enter Indonesia. Please check visa requirement through your Embassy.

THE PROGRAM
Where can I find information about the event agenda and schedule?
The detailed event agenda and schedule will be included in the Program Book later and on the 2nd ICFN page on the SEAMEO RECFON website.
What is included in the event for selected participants?
Access to all live event sessions and event materials. We do offer lunch and refreshments at the events.
Will there be certificates?
We will provide certificates of presentation. Information on how to obtain those will be sent out following the event.
Is there a specific dress code for the conference sessions or for any of the other conference events?
There is no specific dress code for the conference sessions or any other events of the conference. However, kindly dress appropriately.
PRESENTERS
Are there guidelines on how I should prepare my Oral/Poster presentation?
Yes, you can view them on the Letter of Acceptance.
Do I need to submit my Oral/Poster presentation before the conference?
Yes, you are required to upload your slide presentation or poster through the virtual form linked in your Letter of Acceptance no later than 9 September 2024.
Can you change the type of presentation? For example, I was selected for a poster presentation, can I be upgraded to an oral presentation?
The decision on the type of presentation was made at the discretion of the scientific committee members and it is final.
How will I present my Oral/Poster Presentation?
Oral Presenters

Poster Presenters
You can view the guideline for poster presentation and the template of poster on the Letter of Acceptance. Please note that posters will be displayed on our LCD TV at the event.
What happens to my paper? Will you publish it?
Only accepted abstracts will be published according to the following publication schemes:
- All abstracts accepted for oral and poster presentation will be published in the Program Book.
- Oral and poster presenters will be requested to submit extended abstracts to be published in the Proceedings with ISBN.
- Oral presenters who opt to submit a full paper for publication in targeted indexed Scopus journals (to be confirmed) shall be invited and undergo selection process. The Article Processing Charge (APC) will be covered by RECFON for accepted papers only.
- We will provide more detailed information about publication of the proceedings and full papers in the journal at a later time.
How many participants can be accommodated in each parallel session?
There will be four parallel rooms for the oral presentation sessions, each room accommodating 40-50 participants. Participants are free to choose which room to join and finish attending each parallel session.
I cannot attend the conference, can my colleague replace myself to present?
Confirmation of attendance of the presenter must be made through provided link by 9 September 2024 (see REGISTRATION FOR SELECTED PARTICIPANTS above). Any changes of presenter made after 9 September 2024 must be consulted with the Committee through research@seameo-recfon.org.
