On December 20th, 2025, the Central Executive Board of the Indonesian Association of Early Childhood Educators and Education Personnel (PP HIMPAUDI), in collaboration with SEAMEO RECFON, organised a HIMPAUDI TV Talkshow entitled “A Week of Good Practices in the Early Childhood Care, Nutrition, and Education (ECCNE) Programme”. The event was conducted online via Zoom Meeting and livestreamed on the HIMPAUDI TV YouTube channel, with 54 participants comprising early childhood educators, education personnel, families, and members of the general public.
The talk show marked the end of the ECCNE Programme mentoring series, a joint initiative between PP HIMPAUDI and SEAMEO RECFON. Previously, from 14 to 19 December 2025, six programme loci—Tanjung Jabung Timur, Bangka, Muara Enim, Sambas, Brebes, and East Lombok— presented best practices for implementing the ECCNE Programme at early childhood education centres within their respective regions.
In her opening remarks, the Chairperson of PP HIMPAUDI, Dr Betti Nuraini, M.M., expressed her optimism that the ECCNE Programme would bring tangible benefits to young children and contribute to stunting reduction efforts. She also conveyed her appreciation for the ECCNE mentoring collaboration between PP HIMPAUDI and SEAMEO RECFON across all six loci. “We are grateful for the collaboration with SEAMEO RECFON and hope that this partnership can be expanded to reach more early childhood educators,” she stated.
Dr. dr. Herqutanto, MPH., MARS., Sp.KLLP., The Director of SEAMEO RECFON also expressed his appreciation for the strategic partnership with HIMPAUDI. “We are very pleased to partner and collaborate with HIMPAUDI. This has been a highly productive collaboration with tangible outcomes,” he remarked, reaffirming SEAMEO RECFON’s commitment to continuously supporting jointly developed programmes.
The talk show featured Dr Umi Fahmida, M.Sc., ECCNE Programme Coordinator of SEAMEO RECFON, and Dr Rita Anggorowati, M.Pd., from Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Dr Umi Fahmida explained that the ECCNE mentoring aims to strengthen the implementation of holistic and integrated early childhood education through ECCNE module-based parenting sessions. The mentorship activities, which took place from October to November 2025, involved 72 early childhood education centres and over 2,200 parents, and were supported by cross-sectoral collaboration at the local level.
Meanwhile, Dr Rita Anggorowati presented preliminary findings from the ECCNE mentorship evaluation, indicating that each locus demonstrated distinct good practices and contextual lessons that could be used to replicate and improve the program in other locations.
In closing, Dr Umi Fahmida emphasised the importance of sustaining the partnership between the two institutions. “We hope that this strong partnership will enable us to grow together and bring broader benefits to early childhood educators, education personnel, and Indonesian children, contributing towards the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045,” she concluded.
