20-22 November 2025

SEAMEO RECFON held a Workshop on Branding, Design, and Copywriting Guidelines on November 20–22, 2025, at the Mercure Cikini Hotel, Jakarta, which was conducted both offline and online. This workshop was part of SEAMEO RECFON’s efforts to strengthen institutional communication on food and nutrition.

SEAMEO RECFON actively engages with various stakeholders at both national and regional levels through information dissemination and public communication. This interaction underscores the importance of maintaining a clear, consistent, and recognizable institutional identity to ensure that all messages, publications, and communication materials accurately reflect the institution’s values, professionalism, and strategic direction.

In this context, Dr. Dwi Nastiti Iswarawanti, M.Sc., Acting Deputy Director for Programme of SEAMEO RECFON, stated in her opening remarks at the Workshop on Branding, Design, and Copywriting Development that,
“In carrying out its mandate for capacity development and information dissemination, SEAMEO RECFON requires a strong, credible, and easily recognizable institutional identity so that all forms of public communication consistently reflect the institution’s values and professionalism.”

Through this workshop, participants attended a series of sessions discussing the principles of institutional branding, visual communication design, and copywriting, followed by discussions and practical exercises in communication material development. This activity also created a space for cross-unit collaboration to harmonize the understanding and application of institutional communication within SEAMEO RECFON.

This process led to the drafting of SEAMEO RECFON’s Branding, Design, and Copywriting Guidelines. These guidelines will be used as a common reference in the application of visual identity, communication style, and strategic messaging related to food and nutrition in various communication media and publications.

The workshop encouraged staff capacity building in managing institutional communication to be more focused and sustainable. This activity was also a strategic step for SEAMEO RECFON in strengthening its image as a professional and credible institution, as well as ensuring consistent and high-quality dissemination of food and nutrition information and education to stakeholders in the Southeast Asian region.
