SEAMEO RECFON and SEAMEO CED (Community Education Development) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) on 17 July 2024 in Bangkok during the Centre Directors Meeting (CDM). The MoA was signed by Dr. Herqutanto (Director SEAMEO RECFON) and Dr. Niane Sivongxay (Director SEAMEO CED). In this opportunity, Dr. Zainun Misbah, the Deputy Director for Administration of SEAMEO RECFON represented Dr. Herqutanto.
Both Parties agreed to collaborate on Strengthening the School Based Nutrition Program (SBNP) in Lao PDR through the Nutrition Goes to School (NGTS) Program. This MoA was signed as the follow up of MoU signing between SEAMEO RECFON and the Ministry of Health of Lao PDR on 24 October 2023 in Vientiane.
The collaboration covers all stages of the NGTS Program including strengthening of organizational and individual capacities, knowledge generation, expertise exchange, and monitoring and evaluation of the program.
